Kelter (wine press)
We walk through the Keltergasse to the former Kelter. In the middle of the 15th century, the wine press was moved from the castle hill (Schlossberg) down to where it still stands today. On the wall of the building you can see the high water mark of September29th 1732. The upper floor was destroyed by a fire in 1872 and was con-verted into a dwelling for a teacher and a kindergarten in 1892. Nowadays the whole upper floor is used as the municipal kinder-garten. The wine press stopped working in 1985.
